Baía de Santana

A magnificent bay with white sand and calm waters, high dunes and extensive sandbanks. As well as many other locations on Maio this beach is an important place for turtles to lay eggs.
Other protected areas and nature parks include: Casas Velhas; Barreiro and Figueira; Lagoa Cimidor; Praia do Morro; Salinas do Porto Inglês; Monte Penoso and Monte Branco; Monte de Santo António.
