But, who was Bibinha Cabral? Nha Bibinha as she was known was no more than a simple woman of the people, happy, affable, responsible, communicative and of fine treatment. Born in 1900 in Trás-os-Montes a small town located a few kilometers from the city of Mangui considered the "cradle of Tarrafal". Nha Bibinha did not know the school benches like so many other women of her time. Her vocation for the world of "batuku & finason" began to show between ten and fourteen years, becoming a student well applied in the arts. Her masters were: Nha Mana Kuladia, Martin, Djuna Landin, Mariana, Koreia, Leonarda, Ramu, Davidi, Dondoninha, Barela Konpleta, Sikera Marku and Mendi Balantina.
Through her lyrics nha Bibinha sang music that reflected a little the social aspect of her small environment.
