António Gualberto do Rosário (born 12 October 1950) is a Cape Verdean politician.
He was Prime Minister of Cape Verde between July 2000 and February 2001, when he passed the position to his elected successor José Maria Neves. At this time, he makes agreements with several tourism sites.
He had an academic background in Portugal. After the licensing of Carlos Veiga on July 29, 2000 in order to be able to run for the Presidency of the Republic, Gualberto do Rosário temporarily assumed the position of Interim Prime Minister (PMI). Previously he had been Minister of Agriculture and belonged, like his predecessor Carlos Veiga, to the Movement for Democracy (MpD) party that ruled the country from the introduction of multi-partyism in 1991 until 2001.
The legislative elections of January 14, 2001, were won by the former single-party African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde (PAICV), with its leader José Maria Neves assuming the position of Prime Minister on February 1, 2001. In August 2001, Gualberto do Rosário stepped down from the leadership of the MpD.
Currently Gualberto do Rosário is an entrepreneur (GDP) and assumes the presidency of the Cape Verde Tourism Chamber.
