João Graça was born in Santo Antão in 1937. Retired from Angola's railroads, he began to dedicate himself to the arts in 1980 in Cape Verde as a result of the trauma of the colonial war. He makes Disneys in plaster, painted bottles, painted stones, paintings with stones. The materials used are: plaster, glue, toilet paper, chalk, paint, sea sand, fish bones, etc..
