Pedro Alcântara Silva Ramos (Tchuff)
- Músico
Everyone remembers, with endless nostalgia, the calm moonlit nights in which with his guitar at the chest his powerful and melodious voice was heard throughout the city, accompanied by his friends and admirers who were part of the musical ensemble.
Tchuff was a typical mindelense figure, an admired man and a true friend.
He was always invited at all times, from the most humble to the palace where, in the presence of foreign delegations, his voice was admired and applauded.
He was not only known in Cape Verde. In Lisbon he also made a name for himself during the great celebrations in which, in 1940, at the invitation of the Portuguese Government, he often performed in a Cape Verdean musical ensemble led by the late B. Léza.
He died in this city on March 11, 1982.
